Our Story

Grown here. Baked here.
Enjoyed by you.

Battle Creek Vineyard sits on the eastern edge of the Willamette Valley, where the soil is rich and the mornings stay cool just long enough for grapes to develop their character slowly, gently, the way they should.

We started with a single acre and a conviction that wine should taste like the place it comes from — not like a factory floor. That conviction expanded into an orchard, a kitchen, and a bakery that wakes before dawn so the loaves are ready by the time you arrive.

Today, every bottle on our shelf and every loaf on our counter carries the same promise: nothing rushed, nothing borrowed, nothing pretending to be something it isn't.

Rooted in Turner since day one

What We Make

Two crafts. One address.

Our tasting room is built around two things we take seriously: wine that speaks for the valley, and bread that makes you slow down.

Estate Wines

Pinot Noir that carries the forest floor and dark cherry. Chardonnay with the bright acidity of a spring morning. Each vintage is a conversation between our soil and the season — different every year, honest every time.

  • Pinot Noir — our flagship, aged 14 months in French oak
  • Pinot Gris — crisp, mineral-driven, food-friendly
  • Rosé — dry, pale, made from hand-harvested Pinot
  • Chardonnay — barrel-fermented, textured, layered

Artisan Bakery

Our bakers arrive before sunrise. The sourdough ferments for 36 hours. The croissants are folded by hand, three times, the way your grandmother would have insisted. By 9 a.m., the building smells like the kind of morning you want to keep.

  • Country sourdough — 36-hour wild-yeast fermentation
  • Buttermilk biscuits — flaky, rich, made from scratch
  • Seasonal fruit tarts — local berries, house pastry cream
  • Croissants & pain au chocolat — laminated, butter-heavy

The Pairing Experience

The real magic happens when the wine meets the bread. Our tasting flights are designed around this union — a glass of our rosé with a warm biscuit, a pour of Pinot Noir beside a slice of our country loaf. It's simple, it's intentional, and it's why people drive from Portland just for an afternoon.

Tasting flights are available in our sunlit tasting room, seven days a week. No reservation needed — just show up and stay as long as you like.
